FUNDAMENTALS OF THE STORTI MODEL

Ten Elements That Reflect The Highest Quality Of Service

I am often asked what makes my model different. The following are the fundamentals of the Storti Model procedure:

1.

INTERVENTION SPECIALIST / MAJOR CONTRIBUTOR IN THE PROCEDURE

Within this model, the interventionist choreographs and directs the presentation. The interventionist is an active participant in the presentation assisting the patient and family. The interventionist is not there for a low profile but there for a high profile.

2.

RESCUE / IMMEDIATE ACTION

There are times a loved one or family has to move immediately to rescue a loved one. The preparation and intervention can be completed within 12-24 hours.

3.

FOCUS IN ON THE PATIENT — STABILIZE PATIENT AND ASSIST THE FAMILY

Within this model, the primary agenda is to stabilize the patient and offer immediate continuum of care for the family.

4.

TIME EFFICIENT — ATTRACTS PARTICIPANTS — OBTAINING BETTER ATTENDANCE

The procedure can be presented in a concise amount of time. If the amount of time is convenient for people to attend — you will get a mixture of participants who can make the difference within the intervention.

5.

GIFT VS. CONSEQUENCE

When it is gift oriented, it is less stressful for loved ones/friends to participate. When it is consequential or highly leveraged in a negative way–it is difficult for attendees to feel up beat and proud to participate.

6.

MOTIVATIONAL / INSPIRATIONAL

Intervening should always be of kindness, honor and appealing (appeal to the heart not the mind). To intervene on an emotional/kind level is to love the person through the process.

7.

POSITIVE EXPERIENCE — GROUP AND PATIENT

Intervening is for the entire group to embrace and witness a wonderful event. The intervention is to create that each participant has gained something positive for himself or herself.

8.

PREPARED SPONTANEITY

To prepare and have participants speak from their heart is emotionally fueled, seems natural and comes across originally expressed.

9.

PROACTIVE VS. REACTIVE PRIOR TO DISCIPLINARY ACTION

Why not intervene before a tragedy occurs or a major crisis? Why not intervene before disciplinary action takes place? Intervening can be kind, respectful and solution oriented.

10.

SPIRITUAL UMBRELLA / NOT RELIGION

Intervening is to be of a spiritual essence. Spiritus means life and breath. It is to infuse new life. The group is to revitalize and to resuscitate the patient with a new life.
